Cookie & Browser Storage Policy

Last updated · 17 October 2026

1. Scope

Cookies and similar browser storage can remember information on a device. VenchLock uses localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB for implemented account and browser features; authentication, hosting and external providers may also use cookies. This policy does not claim that no cookies are used merely because a cookie banner is absent.

2. Functional storage

Storage supports authentication/session persistence, device/PIN/biometric unlock data, preferences, dismissed notices and a selected checkout plan while signing in. Biometric session data includes a protected session and non-extractable browser key in IndexedDB. Clearing this data may sign you out, remove preferences or require unlock setup again. Checkout selection is not a payment credential.

3. Public chat history

The public assistant saves one conversation under venchlock.website-chat.v1 in localStorage on this browser. It is not automatically shared across devices or tied to an account. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may see it. History remains until you clear chat, clear site data, or browser storage is removed; it is sent for context when you ask a new AI question. Avoid sensitive information, especially on shared devices.

4. Analytics and external services

The website includes a Cloudflare Web Analytics script for page-performance/usage measurement. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as cookie-free; requests still communicate technical information to its service. This is distinct from account analytics derived from your vault records. Google Fonts requests may expose technical connection data to Google. Payment, external sign-in and browser services may have their own storage rules.

No advertising/tracking-cookie consent manager is established in the current application. This is not a promise that hosting or every third-party service sets no cookies. Any non-essential cookie/storage use requiring consent must have valid consent before that use; applicable deployment behavior and consent requirements need review rather than assumption.

5. Your choices

Use Clear chat to remove the public conversation. Your browser’s site-data/privacy settings can remove or restrict cookies, localStorage and IndexedDB for VenchLock. This may affect sign-in and saved preferences. You can decline to use chat, optional voice/biometrics and external sign-in. Contact info@venchlock.com for privacy questions or support@venchlock.com for assistance.
